light off 6:24:10am. B10 in FD 6:35:45, finds nestover fish 6:36:24 & eats
it, drags out mangled nestover squirrel 6:41:26 & picks at it
half-heartedly, then decides she doesn't have any other choice & starts to
eat it 6:44:31; picks at squirrel tail 7:10:57; finished eating, B10 pulls on a
stick 7:12:51 then feaks on LB; B10 hops on LB 7:19:46; rouses 7:20:48, hops to
nest 7:20:56; lays down 7:23:41; B10 hops up squeeing 7:59:59, M in FD w/fish
8:00:04 which B10 grabs immediately, B10 nips at M 8:00:36, nips again 8:00:46,
B10 grabs fish w/talon and hops it across nest 8:00:55, turns back at rushes
over to bite M 8:01:02, picks up fish in beak 8:01:07 & runs around nest,
ending up by M again; nibbles M's shoulder again 8:01:45 before eating a few
bites; M moves away 8:02:00; B10 semi-mantles, flaps & hops 8:02:15, rushes
M again 8:02:35; B10 picks up fish in beak & runs over trying to push M off
the nest 8:02:59; after much flappings, M finally gets to y-nook & out of
B10's way 8:03:09; B10 looks down for the fish and sees that she's holding a
stick instead 8:03:19; B10 spots the fish & runs to get it 8:03:52; M hops
back to nest 8:04:24 & finds nestover squirrel 8:04:38 as B10 yells at her;
M offers B10 a non-existent bite w/B10 accepts 8:04:54, M feeds B10 a bite
8:05:17; B10 heads to y-nook 8:05:38, back to nest 8:05:45 to nibble on M's
tail feathers; M gobbles down nestover squirrel 8:06:47 but has trouble with
the tail, M picks up fishtail 8:07:52 and B10 has a fit, rushes over &
grabs the fish; M still trying to swallow squirrel tail 8:08:09, finally gets
it down 8:09:20; M eats more of the pelt 8:09:31; B10 runs to right side of
nest 8:19:17 then turns back to bite M's wing 8:19:22; B10 turns to look at M
upside down 8:19:38 then nips at her again; M finds more nestovers 8:20:31 hold
out beak for B10 to steal the food 8:20:45; B10 feaks on LB 8:22:25; B10 yells
& tries to bully M off the net 8:24:24 and ends up draping wing across M;
B10 pulls at M's shoulder feathers 8:24:54, M ignores and feaks on LB 8:25:06;
B10 nips at her again 8:25:51; M moves out of the way 8:25:56; M offers B10
more nestovers 8:26:28 & B10 snatches it; M digs in nest 8:26:57; B10
nibbles on M's shoulder again (more gently) 8:35:34; B10 hops to LB 8:36:07,
back to nest 8:37:42, back to LB 8:37:58; back to nest 8:39:32; grabs and tugs
at M's toe 8:39:35; B10 picks up a stick 8:40:08 and tries to move it to the
left but it keeps springing back; B10 backs onto Y nook 8:43:03; turns around
an goes up LB 8:43:07; hops to nest 8:43:19; squats down to nibble in nest
8:43:26; up and moves to pantry 8:43:52; lays down next to M 8:45:47; gets up
9:14:31; spreads wings and flaps them at M a few times 9:14:58 and 9:15:06;
Wingersizes 9:15:12; Jumps at M hitting her chest 9:15:37; nips at M 9:15:48;
snuggles against M 9:15:54; M moves back as B10 nips at her 9:16:00; B10 moves
closer making M flap wings 9:16:07; B10 nips at M's wing 9:16:34; B10 ps off
left side 9:17:21; B10 flies onto 11 o'clock branch 9:23:19; cam1 reset 9:32am;
a fussing B10 hops back to nest 9:34:30, runs to M and ducks head; nibbles on
stick then B10 lays down 9:35:36; B10 repositions 10:24:07 and lays back down;
B10 gets up 11:05:00, PS's 11:05:15, pesters M 11:05:22; squats down 11:05:56
then stands back up squeeing; M crop drops 11:06:25 & B10 fusses at her;
B10 hops 11:06:48 then waggles tail; B10 tries to get under M 11:08:33, gives
up on pushing her off & goes to play with some sticks 11:09:03; B10 tries
to pick up stick that is under M 11:09:33; tugs at M's talon 11:09:52
and11:10:04 then nibbles on her feathers and wing; B10 keeps on preening M
until she moves 11:12:44; B10 decides to pick around in the nest 11:13:04; moves
back to pester M 11:14:28 making M move again; B10 follows M around then lays
down in front of her 11:16:27; cam1 reset 11:23am; B10 gets up 11:25:04; moves
to lay in front of M again and nibble her toes 11:25:14; B10 changes position
and nibbles on M's feathers 11:25:42; M raises her foot as B10 continues
nibbling and rests it on B10 11:27:07; B10 lays by BD 11:30:50; M preens
11:43:45; pulls out a little feather 11:43:59; B10 gets up fussing 11:44:08;
picks up the feather and plays with it 11:44:12; takes to other side of nest
11:45:10; takes it back to M 11:45:37; Nips at M's wing as she gets ready to
leave 11:46:06; gets feather again 11:46:12; M out BSD 11:46:23; B10 watches as
she goes toward her perch tree; then goes back to the feather 11:46:48; messes
around in nest then hops to the 11 o'clock branch 11:51:39; flies off 11:55:46;
D in to LB 6:12:18; B10 can be heard and see shadow as s/he flys by nest
6:18:15; Hear and see shadow as s/he flys by again 6:18:28; Hear approach
6:22:28 as B10 lands on branch on left side of nest 6:22:34; D rouses and B10
squees louder 6:23:23; D flies off 6:23:35 and B10 quiets; Climbs into nest
6:24:03; picks around in nest for a bit and finds a pinecone to play with
6:38:08; Hops around nest then digs in pantry 6:40:13; pulls at left rail
6:40:51; stands at BD looking around for a whle then lays don in nest 6:57:14;
up 6:57:48 to nibble at rt rail; lays down at left rail 6:59:42; deer walks
under nest (lower left side, above date) 7:19:27; sees something 7:23:32; jumps
up 6:23:38; after watching something intently, B10 flies out BSD 7:24:45
heading toward D's tree; B10 flies by left side of nest 7:29:07; B10 lands on
LSB 7:46:19; hops to nest via LSD 7:46:49; pulls a twig from left rail then
flings it over the side 7:48:59; finds feather again 7:49:43; pulls up a chunk
of nest and plays with it 7:50:06; pulls up nest material 7:51:37; hops to cam1
branch 7:54:19; hops to right of cam 7:54:25; can hear nibbling on cam 7:55:08;
back to nest 7:58:10; flies out BSD 7:58:44; IR light on 9:04:47pm.
