Bel's Nest Log: EARLY MORN: M rolls-n-fluffs 12:05am, 12:27:35, 12:43:04. M gets up & shakes off rain 5:52:10, M flaps wings 5:53:05 then chatters w/Dad, M moves to left side, PS's 5:54:13, M fluffs-n-rolls 5:55:28, lays down 5:56:38. MORN: D calls to M 7:05:32, both chatter; IR light off 7:28:34. S/C#1-D flies by in the background 8:07:14, enters BD w/fluff 8:07:17; M gets up 8:07:28, flaps her wings & hops to LB 8:07:34 & out 8:07:37; D rolls eggs & shimmies down 8:08:14. D rolls eggs 8:11:52. Egg rolls 8:55, 9:35, 10:29, 11:22. D gets up 12:37:30 flaps wings & starts yelling, M lands on LB 12:37:57 and alerts with Dad, both watch something flying nearby, D rolls eggs 12:41:20, lays down 12:41:30. S/C#2-D gets up & moves to LB 12:45:18, D flies out 12:45:23, M to nest 12:46:07, rolls eggs, snuggles down 12:48:42. Ground Report per BEP: "That could have been the biggest eagle I have ever seen. It was after mom. They about locked up. 2 or 3 year old." Cam 1 reset 1:14pm. M rolls eggs 1:37:11, M vocal 1:47:59, fluff-n-roll 1:49:40. M alerts 5:18:52, M stands up 5:18:55, adult intruder eagle lands on back of nest 5:19:01 and M rushes to meet it, M hops to Y-branch 5:19:08 very vocal, M flies out FD 5:19:12, Intruder stomps near eggs 5:19:32 then rolls one 5:19:34, pulls out some fluff 5:19:37 then just looks around, Intruder flies out LSD 5:21:08, M lands on LB 5:25:34 still alerting & breathing hard, M hops to nest 5:30:45, M to LB 5:32:19 & flies off 5:32:29, M flies in FD 5:34:10 still breathing hard, M vocal 5:36:28, M back to LB 5:36:36 & flies out 5:36:39; S/C #3-D in LSD 5:37:02, D rolls eggs 5:27:31 & snuggles down 5:37:43 (breathing hard); IR light on 6:38:26; S/C #4-M lands on LB 6:44:19, D gets up 6:46:00, D flies out & M hops to nest (during cam freeze), M fluffs-n-rolls 6:47:50.
