Wednesday - September 13, 2017

Dad flew in the FD with a stick at 7:12am, pausing briefly on the LB before landing in the nest. He placed the stick at the front of the nest and surveyed his surroundings for a minute before heading for the LB and leaving at 7:14. Dad came back at 7:27 via the FD with a twig. It took him several minutes to get it placed just right and whittled down a bit. He went to the LB and 7:31, sat for a minute or two before leaving at 7:33.

Mom in BD 7:35pm, Dad in SD w/stk 7:35:10. Both do some beak-plowing, and then Mom watches Dad for a while; some beaking at 7:39; Mom pecks at Dad's wing as he prepares to leave, Dad to RB 7:46 & out. Mom out BD 8:00pm

BCE post: "Our experts have reviewed the video of our female eagle. They noted that the eagles are wild animals and that this a part of the course of nature. The leg injury is not going to keep the eagle from flying unless it cannot get the nutrition it needs to sustain. We will stay in touch with our experts as the season progresses."

Monday - August 28, 2017

Dad flew in the front door at 7:02am with a twig; he was sporting a feather in his nare. After looking around for a few minutes and losing a fluffy feather, he took off out the back door at 7:05:45am. Rocky on the nest 10:04:32pm through 10:19:08pm.
