(B10 54 days old) Per TNT/BEL/JaniBop - EARLY MORN: B10 PS 2:37:43am; B10 rested fairly well during the night, woke up several times to preen; tree was swaying pretty good most of the night; Rocky comes up under left Y-branch & enters nest 5:12:08, B10 is unaware of Rocky until 5:12:47, Rocky continues to scurry around & B10 sits up & partially spreads her wings 5:13:00; Rocky shows himself again & B10 wing flaps 5:13:12, B10 scratches head as she lays back down 5:13:32; B10 sleeping 5:30.00; Cam 1 reset 5:47:40; MORN: left wing stretch 6:02:28; B10 gets up 6:03:33 yoga stretch & PS 6:03:39; big wing spread 6:03:50; IR light off 7:00:40; right leg & wing stretch 7:20:52; PS 7:21:25; B10 finds something to play with 7:25:31; wing flaps 7:26:02, 7:30:35; B10 playing w/nestovers in the pantry 8:16:52; scratches head 8:22:28; PS 8:23:32, hops back to center of nest; B10 goes to right front rail to see if any of her fans are around 8:25:57 then back to lay down 8:43:45; D in FD w/fish 10:14:53, D feeds B10 10:15:13; M lands on LB w/stick 10:20:48, hops to nest 10:21:06; D to Y-nook 10:22:14 as M feeds B10, hops to LB 10:22:25 & flies off 10:22:38; M give B10 the fishtail 10:29:13, B10 takes her prize to the right side to self feed 10:29:18; M tries to help B10 w/fish tail 10:30:10, it goes back & forth until M takes it at 10:30:42 while B10 loudly complains, M feeds B10 a couple of bites 10:31:03 then M swallows the tail 10:30:33; M aerates nest 10:32:50, B10 nibbles at her wing 10:33:01, M backs up onto the Y-nook 10:33:22 then onto the Cam1 branch 10:33:53, goes higher 10:34:11, M hops back to nest 10:34:38 where B10 continues to pester M; B10 continues her tirade of chattering then nibbles M's left foot 10:35:23; B10 rearranges fluff 10:35:36; M to LB 10:36:37 & out 10:36:43; Cam 1 resets 10:48am; B10 wingercises as s/he hops across the nest 12:00:28; B10 stands at the front right rail preening 12:01 - 12:25, then stares at the world, turns around 12:43:17, PS 12:43:47, then lays down near center of nest 12:43:59; B10 moves to lay at front right rail 12:54:09; M lands on LB 2:06:53, preens 2:08:42; B10 stands up 2:11:21 and stretches, PS 2:11:35 then chitters at M; B10 opens wings & chatters at M 2:14:55, hops 2:15:12; wingercises & hops 2:16:15; wingercises all around the nest & hopping & chatting 2:19:00; B10 foots (attacks) some fluff 2:28:29 then plays with a small stick while M watches from LB; M cranes her neck watching something 2:37:51, M vocal 2:38:29; M turns around on branch 2:38:48 & flies off 2:38:51; D lands on LB 2:38:56; B10 lays down 2:43:12; D rouses 3:00:41; D out 3:12:16; B10 tracking something 3:25:12; per AC, Juvie lands in outer upper branch 3:25:45-ish then moves lower toward nest 3:27:36-ish; B10 stands up and fluffs up as s/he watches intruder 3:25:40; Then starts chirping 3:25:51; B10 lays down 3:36:46; gets up to do a ps 3:47:49; Moves to center of nest with feathers ruffled 3:47:53; Rushes across nest 3:49:39; rushes across nest again to attack a stick 3:50:23; B10 preens 3:54:27; B10 watches, then intruder starts squalking as mom approaches to chase it off 4:01:37; Intruder and mom seen as they go behind nest 4:01:40; M in to LB still alerting 4:02:02; hops to nest 4:03:26 still on alert; (from BEP on ground... Intruder went to a nearby tree); M out BD to give chase again 4:18:08; Flyby behind nest 4:18:13; M in BD 4:18:40; B10 lends vocal support as M is still alerting 4:18:44; M vocal, B10 lays down 4:25:46; M still vocally alerting 4:30pm & B10 still laying down; Cam 1 reset 4:48; M still alerting at 5:00pm; M throws back head & loudly alerts 5:01:11; B10 still laying down, stretches out left wing 5:19:27; Intruder seen flying on upper left side (cam 1) 5:31:32 & M vocalizes loudly & turns to watch front of nest; M yells very aggressively 5:33:19 and intruder flies behind nest 5:33:30 and lands on tree in the background (behind Cam 2 branch) 5:33:33; M watches something in front of & over nest tree 5:34:11; Intruder flies off from back tree 5:34:37 & M yells some more; M leans forward to watch intruder fly in front of nest tree 5:42:03; M vocal 5:54:03 as D flies in FD w/headless fish 5:54:07, B10 attacks M's left talon 5:54:09; M vocally alerting 5:54:09 & D cranes to look, D hops to LB 5:54:39 with M yelling in his ear & B10 squeeing; D vocal 5:55:14, both P's alerting, but M really having a fit; D flies out 5:59:18 to give chase (?); B10 stands up 6:01:32, PS 6:02:05; B10 nibbles on M's talon 6:02:15 then scratches head; B10 squees to M that s/he wants fish 6:05:15 but M is still scanning the skies; B10 starts nibbling on fish 6:05:51; B10 pulls fish over & stands on it to self feed 6:06:52; B10 still eating, M alerts 6:12:23; D lands on LB 6:13:08 but M is still vocalizing & watching something; D hops over B10 to the nest 6:14:16; M still watching something flying around, she hops up to Y-nook 6:15:42 then jumps to LB 6:16:03; M turns around 6:16:11 & flies out 6:16:13; B10 goes back to self feeding 6:16:51; B10 tells D to stay away from the fish (lol) 6:23:09; B10 pulls fish further away from D 6:24:39 and continues eating; D takes the fish 6:27:28 & B10 squees displeasure until D starts feeding her 6:27:44; B10 steals back the fish 6:33:27 & eats; B10 moves the fish tail to right side of nest 6:38:50; squeeing M in to LB 6:39:10; M walks down to nest 6:39:29 & heads over to fish tail 6:39:38, B10 steals it from her 6:39:41 but M takes it back 6:39:54 & swallows it 6:39:56; D hops to LB 6:39:58 & out 6:40:07 as B10 looks amazed by this turn of events; B10 wingercises 6:42:13, PS 6:42:52, then more wing flaps & hops; M flies out BSD 6:43:39; B10 heads over to hang out on right front rail 6:46:40, lays down there 6:56:18; M lands on LB 8:23:13 and is greeted by a chittering B10, D lands on outer left branch 8:23:38 & chatters to M; M hops to nest 8:24:52 & B10 chitters and gets near her; D takes off & is seen as he flies behind nest 8:25:26; B10 tries to get under M 8:25:39, M moves to BD 8:26:11 & flies out 8:26:30; IR light on 8:29:15.

(B10 51 days old) Per TNT/Bel/Jani - EARLY MORN: B10 wakes up briefly 12:01:42am for a left wing stretch; wing slap 12:06:05 then a couple crop drops & preening; PS 12:15:44; back to sleep w/head tucked 12:18:41; nest tree really swaying 1:00:03; B10 up peering into the darkness 1:47:24; PS 1:47:39; Cam 1 reset 1:51:38; B10 slept soundly through the night; IR light off 7:03:58; D in to LB 7:43:47, D flies off without going to nest 7:45:52; B10 opens her beak, then starts shaking her head 8:45:37, casts pellet 8:45:48; M in FD w/stick 8:47:54, B10 nips at M's legs 8:49:16 as M moves to dig in nest, B10 turns head upside down to stare at M 8:50:26, B10 flaps wings 8:50:55, M move a stick & B10 tries to take it 8:51:58, M moves something else & B10 grabs it 8:52:11; M to LB 8:52:50 & out 8:52:56; wingflaps 8:55:20 then a stumble; B10 watches some birds flying on the right side of the nest tree 8:56:17, some bluejays land on back branches 8:57:12; M in to LB 9:20:14; D in BSD w/mangled UFO 9:21:58, B10 gives a little mantle & grabs it; D rearranges a back rail stick 9:22:45; D to LB 9:23:54 & out 9:24:00; in the meantime, B10 has been nibbling on UFO; M hops to nest 9:32:21 & claims food 9:32:31, M feeds B10 9:33:09; M backs up to stand on Y-nook 10:51:44; M to nest 12:22:28pm & out BSD 12:23:09; Shadow of intruder seen as it approaches to land on nest tree 1:16:30, branch bounces as juvie intruder lands 1:16:35; B10 sits up to stare at juvie intruder 1:17:01 starts softy calling for M; PS 1:23:07; B10 hops to back of nest to preen & get a better look at juvie 1:25:33; B10 flaps wings 1:32:55 then starts preening, keeps looking up at intruder; P (looked like M to me) flies in and chases off intruder (back left side of nest on Cam1, left side on ApprCam) 1:44:56, M lands in nest alerting 1:45:21 and B10 hits the deck, an eagle flies over nest right after M landed (appr cam); M still alerting and B10 still laying down 2:45:00; M turns to look out right side 2:49-ish & she appears to be calming down; B10 more relaxed, too & stretches out left wing 3:01:51; Cam 1 reset 3:18pm; B10 wing flaps 3:25:15, PS 3:25:39; M scratches head 3:29:21; wingercizing 3:41:16; M spreads wings to cool off 4:07:05; B10 PS 4:28:13; M & B10 just hanging out 4:45:21; B10 nibbles at M 5:07:38; B10 picks up something 5:08:08; M to LB 5:08:25; M out 5:08:31; B10 nibbles at a pinecone 5:17:21; Lays down in pantry 5:21:35; D in BD w/fish 6:37:26; B10 grabs it right away; D takes it back and starts feeding 6:37:44; B10 ps 6:43:34; M in FD w/fluff 6:44:28; B10 grabs her talon; D out BD 6:45:55; M out BD 6:51:11; M in to LB 6:52:34; M watching something intently 6:59:18; M turns around 7:01:15; M out 7:01:18; B10 moves a stick 7:06:20; Fly bys behind nest - dad? at 8:22:28 and mom? at 8:22:50. Cam 2: S/C#2-D rouses 8:47:31 & calls/chatters to M 8:47:45, D out BD 8:47:51; M in FD w/fluff 9:15:39, spreads the fluff then feeds nest-overs 9:19:14 (Cam 1 reset 9:23am). Cam 1: M out BD 9:35:45, M in FD w/fluff 9:39:03. S/C#3-M vocal 10:35:29, D lands on LB & also vocal 10:35:34 M gets up 10:35:36 & flies out BD 10:35:51; D hops from LB to nest 10:37:52; D feeds B10 some nestovers 10:39:05; D out BD 11:00:07; D is back from his flyabout, lands on LB & calls out 11:02:58; D flies off again 11:05:21; D lands on LB 11:08:30, walks down LB 11:15:21, to nest 11:15:45 to cuddle w/B10; Cam1 reset 2:31:32; D in FD and is watching something 2:34:30. Ground Report from BEP @ 2:35pm "Juvie gone now. Different one than earlier. Older bird." MORN: D calls to M 7:05:32, both chatter; IR light off 7:28:34. S/C#1-D flies by in the background 8:07:14, enters BD w/fluff 8:07:17; M gets up 8:07:28, flaps her wings & hops to LB 8:07:34 & out 8:07:37; D rolls eggs & shimmies down 8:08:14. D rolls eggs 8:11:52. Egg rolls 8:55, 9:35, 10:29, 11:22. D gets up 12:37:30 flaps wings & starts yelling, M lands on LB 12:37:57 and alerts with Dad, both watch something flying nearby, D rolls eggs 12:41:20, lays down 12:41:30. S/C#2-D gets up & moves to LB 12:45:18, D flies out 12:45:23, M to nest 12:46:07, rolls eggs, snuggles down 12:48:42. Ground Report per BEP: "That could have been the biggest eagle I have ever seen. It was after mom. They about locked up. 2 or 3 year old." Cam 1 reset 1:14pm. M rolls eggs 1:37:11, M vocal 1:47:59, fluff-n-roll 1:49:40. M alerts 5:18:52, M stands up 5:18:55, adult intruder eagle lands on back of nest 5:19:01 and M rushes to meet it, M hops to Y-branch 5:19:08 very vocal, M flies out FD 5:19:12, Intruder stomps near eggs 5:19:32 then rolls one 5:19:34, pulls out some fluff 5:19:37 then just looks around, Intruder flies out LSD 5:21:08, M lands on LB 5:25:34 still alerting & breathing hard, M hops to nest 5:30:45, M to LB 5:32:19 & flies off 5:32:29, M flies in FD 5:34:10 still breathing hard, M vocal 5:36:28, M back to LB 5:36:36 & flies out 5:36:39; S/C #3-D in LSD 5:37:02, D rolls eggs 5:27:31 & snuggles down 5:37:43 (breathing hard); IR light on 6:38:26; S/C #4-M lands on LB 6:44:19, D gets up 6:46:00, D flies out & M hops to nest (during cam freeze), M fluffs-n-rolls 6:47:50.

Per BEL- IR light off 7:27:16am; M has been calling out to D, M slowly gets up 7:31:25, rolls eggs 7:32:28, snuggles back down 7:33:23. Per TNT-M continued to call out periodically to D for the next half hour; M up 8:00:00, hops to LB & back to nest 8:00:49; M checks the eggs & beak-plows, she snuggles back down 8:02:33; S/C#1-D in BD 8:24:35, he moves a stk & M gets up 8:25:02; M hops to LB & out 8:25:23; D gives the eggs a roll then snuggles down 8:25:34; S/C#2-M in BD w/both talons full of fluff 9:47:25; D gets vocal & off the eggs 9:48:01, hops to LB & out 9:48:22; M rolls her eggs 9:49:14. Per BEL-M vocal 12:03:16, D lands on a left-side branch 12:03:31; S/C#2-M gets up 12:05:32, vocalizes then hops to LB 12:05:50 & flies off 12:05:54, D to nest 12:06:02, rolls eggs, snuggles down 12:06:19; S/C#4-M in LSD 1:45:33 & D tells her all about his shift, D gets up 1:45:57, hops to LB 1:46:07, still chattering & flies off 1:46:17, M moves over to eggs 1:47:06, does the roll-n-fluff, snuggles down 1:48:27; M starts calling to D 3:21:39. Per TNT: S/C# 5-M chirps as D flies in the BD w/headless fish 3:21:55; M continues to chirp & finally gets up 3:24:39, she heads for her prize; D checks his eggs & snuggles down 3:25:29; M swallows fish tail 3:33:18; M to LB 3:34:18 & out 3:34:31. S/C#6-D up 4:11:41, he flies over the LB 4:11:49; M soars in the BD 4:12:58, fluff-n-roll 4:13:39, M snuggles down 4:14:51. S/C#7-M vocal 4:31:00 (intruder?), D in RB 4:31:07; both M & D highly irritated, to say the least. M to LB 4:32:49 & out 4:32:59; D steps into nest 4:33:15 & snuggles down 4:33:26. Fly-by's seen on upper right corner of screen 4:49:32 & 4:49:40. Per BEL-Dad calls a greeting to M, she answers back 4:59:50, snow starts drifting down; Dad calls out & Mom answers 6:00:45, lots of chatter; M flies by 6:05:29, S/C#8-M in to LB 6:05:45 & D chirps at her; D gets up 6:06:xx; D vocal 6:07:21, M hops to nest 6:07:31, D out BD 6:08:05, M rolls eggs 6:08:12 & snuggles down 6:09:26; deer herd passes by behind nest 6:09:39; IR light on. 6:14:34pm.

Bel's Nest Log: Per Sasha: EARLY MORN: One lone coyote howls out 1:00:25 - 1:00:47 - 1:03:20am; pack of coyotes howl back really close by 1:03:30. MORN: Windy night & morning on nest; M calls softly out to D starting at 7:13:47 for several minutes; M starts calling out louder at 7:16:45 & continues; D finally calls back 7:27:18; M still calling out to D 7:30:40; M watching D 7:31:03; D flies behind nest 7:32:47. Per Bel: S/C#1 - D lands on LB 7:33:01, M gets up 7:33:11, D steps to nest 7:33:28, M briefly hops to LB 7:33:35, but loses grip with left foot & flaps back to nest 7:33:40, M back to LB 7:33:52 & out 7:33:56 and D snuggles down on eggs; IR light off 7:41:36. Per Sasha: D gets off bole to shift position 7:46:25, D beak-plows, rolls eggs and shimmies down 7:46:46; Cam 1 goes off line 7:55:34. Per Bel: Cam 2 & Appr Cam still up. Cam 2-D gets up 8:56:12, flies out BD 8:56:23 then chattering heard in background (mating or D asking for S/C), D in FD 8:59:25 & snuggles back down on eggs 8:59:42. Cam 1 keeps going on and off throughout the afternoon. Shift change sometime around two thirtyish? D went to their favorite perch. sub-adult intruder 4 to 4-1/2 years old, flew through around 2:45. M was on the nest and alerted, & D alerted from the perch. About five minutes later, D took off in the same direction as the intruder. Per TNT: Cam2-D chirps then gets up 2:39:19, D flies off 2:39:31; M in 2:40:01, she gingerly places herself over the eggs & fluffs-n-rolls then snuggles down 2:41:58; D in FD 5:15:31, he moves a big stk causing M to get up 5:16:08; D goes to bole for a fluff-n-roll 5:16:31; M hops to rail & out FD 5:17:15; D calls to M 6:02:09; M in 5:02:32, picks up a big stk & almost puts it on the eggs, D helps move it back; D out FD 6:03:18 as M fluffs-n-rolls; M snuggles down 6:04:29; IR light on 6:18:40pm.

Per Jani - M watches something intently 10:09:29; M fluffs up and starts alert calls 10:10:28; M stands up alerting 10:10:30; IT (Intruder) lands on a LB 10:10:46; IT lands on BB 10:11:57; IT flies off 10:12:14; 10:12:57; IT tries to land on/breaks off a LSB 10:12:58; M alerts as there is a flyby under nest from right 10:14:10; M starts alerting 10:16:32; IT lands on left rail 10:16:40; M turns and chases it off 10:16:43; M goes back to bole 10:22:47 and reassures egg 10:23:17; M settles over egg 10:24:12; M alerts 10:57:35; intensely at 11:01:22; AC view shows that, intruder lands on left outer branch and D swoops in to chase it off; M watches the action flying around nest and flyby behind nest 11:02:20 & 11:02:25; D must be chasing IT; D in hot pursuit flyby behind nest 11:02:52. Ground Report per BEP about Dad chasing intruder: "Holy crap Batman . That was not good. They are still after each other going towards river. They actually hooked on for a second thought they were going to ground. Not back yet. Were hot after each other few minutes ago going to river. (A short time later…) Dad back on perch all good." M gets up 11:34:08; M moves to pantry to nibble on the nestover 11:36:12; D in BD w/stick landing over M close to egg 11:38:46; D places stick on front rail then turns to give the egg attention 11:38:54; D lays down as M still works on pelt 11:41:08; S/C#3 M to LB 11:58:09; D gets up 11:58:13; M out 11:58:20; D to LB/out 11:58:24; D in BD 11:58:37; D lays down 11:59:21; S/C#4 M in BD w/fluff 12:13:50; D to RB 12:15:19; D out 12:16:21; M moves to bole and rolls egg 12:18:00; M lays down 12:18:58; M still on nest at 1:24pm.
