7:41:35, D moves over to snuggles w/B10 7:47:18. Cam 2: S/C#2-D rouses 8:47:31 & calls/chatters to M 8:47:45, D out BD
8:47:51; M in FD w/fluff 9:15:39, spreads the fluff then feeds nest-overs
9:19:14 (Cam 1 reset 9:23am). Cam 1: M out BD 9:35:45, M in FD w/fluff 9:39:03.
S/C#3-M vocal 10:35:29, D lands on LB
& also vocal 10:35:34 M gets up 10:35:36 & flies out BD 10:35:51; D
hops from LB to nest 10:37:52; D feeds B10 some nestovers 10:39:05; D out BD
11:00:07; D is back from his flyabout, lands on LB & calls out 11:02:58; D
flies off again 11:05:21; D lands on LB 11:08:30, walks down LB 11:15:21, to
nest 11:15:45 to cuddle w/B10; Cam1 reset 2:31:32; D in FD and is watching
something 2:34:30. Ground Report from BEP @ 2:35pm "Juvie gone now.
Different one than earlier. Older bird." D gets up 1:25:20 & checks
pantry, feeds B10 a few bites of nestover pelt 1:26:01; B10 PS 1:26:34; D out
BSD 2:49:51; D in to LB 3:16:01; D to nest 3:17:41; D out BSD 3:19:12; D lands
on 11 o'clock branch 3:26:15; D walks higher out of sight 3:27:51; D flies off
3:36:25; D in FD 4:32:35; D walks to pantry 4:39:02; B10 joins him and D feeds
4:39:33; D out BSD 4:49:49; D in to LB 5:15:46; D out 5:18:57; D in to LB
5:50:38; D to nest 5:51:41.

Bel's Nest Log: EARLY MORN: M rolls-n-fluffs
12:05am, 12:27:35, 12:43:04. M gets up & shakes off rain 5:52:10, M flaps
wings 5:53:05 then chatters w/Dad, M moves to left side, PS's 5:54:13, M
fluffs-n-rolls 5:55:28, lays down 5:56:38. MORN: D calls to M 7:05:32, both
chatter; IR light off 7:28:34. S/C#1-D flies by in the background 8:07:14,
enters BD w/fluff 8:07:17; M gets up 8:07:28, flaps her wings & hops to LB
8:07:34 & out 8:07:37; D rolls eggs & shimmies down 8:08:14. D rolls
eggs 8:11:52. Egg rolls 8:55, 9:35, 10:29, 11:22. D gets up 12:37:30 flaps
wings & starts yelling, M lands on LB 12:37:57 and alerts with Dad, both
watch something flying nearby, D rolls eggs 12:41:20, lays down 12:41:30.
S/C#2-D gets up & moves to LB 12:45:18, D flies out 12:45:23, M to nest
12:46:07, rolls eggs, snuggles down 12:48:42. Ground Report per BEP: "That
could have been the biggest eagle I have ever seen. It was after mom. They
about locked up. 2 or 3 year old." Cam 1 reset 1:14pm. M rolls eggs
1:37:11, M vocal 1:47:59, fluff-n-roll 1:49:40. M alerts 5:18:52, M stands up
5:18:55, adult intruder eagle lands on back of nest 5:19:01 and M rushes to
meet it, M hops to Y-branch 5:19:08 very vocal, M flies out FD 5:19:12,
Intruder stomps near eggs 5:19:32 then rolls one 5:19:34, pulls out some fluff
5:19:37 then just looks around, Intruder flies out LSD 5:21:08, M lands on LB
5:25:34 still alerting & breathing hard, M hops to nest 5:30:45, M to LB
5:32:19 & flies off 5:32:29, M flies in FD 5:34:10 still breathing hard, M
vocal 5:36:28, M back to LB 5:36:36 & flies out 5:36:39; S/C #3-D in LSD
5:37:02, D rolls eggs 5:27:31 & snuggles down 5:37:43 (breathing hard); IR
light on 6:38:26; S/C #4-M lands on LB 6:44:19, D gets up 6:46:00, D flies out
& M hops to nest (during cam freeze), M fluffs-n-rolls 6:47:50.

Bel's Nest Log: Per RMLin: Stretching and egg
turn at 5:24 am; Mom had a big PS at 6:08am. Per BEL- IR light off 7:27:16am; M
has been calling out to D, M slowly gets up 7:31:25, rolls eggs 7:32:28,
snuggles back down 7:33:23. Per TNT-M continued to call out periodically to D
for the next half hour; M up 8:00:00, hops to LB & back to nest 8:00:49; M
checks the eggs & beak-plows, she snuggles back down 8:02:33; S/C#1-D in BD
8:24:35, he moves a stk & M gets up 8:25:02; M hops to LB & out
8:25:23; D gives the eggs a roll then snuggles down 8:25:34; S/C#2-M in BD
w/both talons full of fluff 9:47:25; D gets vocal & off the eggs 9:48:01,
hops to LB & out 9:48:22; M rolls her eggs 9:49:14. Per BEL-M vocal
12:03:16, D lands on a left-side branch 12:03:31; S/C#2-M gets up 12:05:32,
vocalizes then hops to LB 12:05:50 & flies off 12:05:54, D to nest
12:06:02, rolls eggs, snuggles down 12:06:19; S/C#4-M in LSD 1:45:33 & D
tells her all about his shift, D gets up 1:45:57, hops to LB 1:46:07, still
chattering & flies off 1:46:17, M moves over to eggs 1:47:06, does the
roll-n-fluff, snuggles down 1:48:27; M starts calling to D 3:21:39. Per TNT:
S/C# 5-M chirps as D flies in the BD w/headless fish 3:21:55; M continues to
chirp & finally gets up 3:24:39, she heads for her prize; D checks his eggs
& snuggles down 3:25:29; M swallows fish tail 3:33:18; M to LB 3:34:18
& out 3:34:31. S/C#6-D up 4:11:41, he flies over the LB 4:11:49; M soars in
the BD 4:12:58, fluff-n-roll 4:13:39, M snuggles down 4:14:51. S/C#7-M vocal
4:31:00 (intruder?), D in RB 4:31:07; both M & D highly irritated, to say
the least. M to LB 4:32:49 & out 4:32:59; D steps into nest 4:33:15 &
snuggles down 4:33:26. Fly-by's seen on upper right corner of screen 4:49:32
& 4:49:40. Per BEL-Dad calls a greeting to M, she answers back 4:59:50,
snow starts drifting down; Dad calls out & Mom answers 6:00:45, lots of
chatter; M flies by 6:05:29, S/C#8-M in to LB 6:05:45 & D chirps at her; D
gets up 6:06:xx; D vocal 6:07:21, M hops to nest 6:07:31, D out BD 6:08:05, M
rolls eggs 6:08:12 & snuggles down 6:09:26; deer herd passes by behind nest
6:09:39; IR light on. 6:14:34pm.
Saturday - January 13, 2018
Bel's Nest Log: Per Sasha: EARLY MORN: One lone
coyote howls out 1:00:25 - 1:00:47 - 1:03:20am; pack of coyotes howl back
really close by 1:03:30. MORN: Windy night & morning on nest; M calls
softly out to D starting at 7:13:47 for several minutes; M starts calling out
louder at 7:16:45 & continues; D finally calls back 7:27:18; M still
calling out to D 7:30:40; M watching D 7:31:03; D flies behind nest 7:32:47.
Per Bel: S/C#1 - D lands on LB 7:33:01, M gets up 7:33:11, D steps to nest
7:33:28, M briefly hops to LB 7:33:35, but loses grip with left foot &
flaps back to nest 7:33:40, M back to LB 7:33:52 & out 7:33:56 and D
snuggles down on eggs; IR light off 7:41:36. Per Sasha: D gets off bole to
shift position 7:46:25, D beak-plows, rolls eggs and shimmies down 7:46:46; Cam
1 goes off line 7:55:34. Per Bel: Cam 2 & Appr Cam still up. Cam 2-D gets
up 8:56:12, flies out BD 8:56:23 then chattering heard in background (mating or
D asking for S/C), D in FD 8:59:25 & snuggles back down on eggs 8:59:42.
Cam 1 keeps going on and off throughout the afternoon. Shift change sometime
around two thirtyish? D went to their favorite perch. sub-adult intruder 4 to
4-1/2 years old, flew through around 2:45. M was on the nest and alerted, &
D alerted from the perch. About five minutes later, D took off in the same
direction as the intruder. Per TNT: Cam2-D chirps then gets up 2:39:19, D flies
off 2:39:31; M in 2:40:01, she gingerly places herself over the eggs &
fluffs-n-rolls then snuggles down 2:41:58; D in FD 5:15:31, he moves a big stk
causing M to get up 5:16:08; D goes to bole for a fluff-n-roll 5:16:31; M hops
to rail & out FD 5:17:15; D calls to M 6:02:09; M in 5:02:32, picks up a
big stk & almost puts it on the eggs, D helps move it back; D out FD
6:03:18 as M fluffs-n-rolls; M snuggles down 6:04:29; IR light on 6:18:40pm.

Bel's Nest Log: EARLY MORN: M stands up, preens
then tucks head to sleep 1:38:55am; M does the fluff-n-roll 1:50:05 then
snuggles back down 1:52:30; M stands up to preen & f-n-r 3:13:51, lays back
down 3:18:35; stands up again 3:49:31, cams resets at 4:01am and M is laying
back down; M stands up 4:55:28. MORN: M stands up to f-n-r 6:00:43, snuggles
back down 6:03:37; f-n-r time 7:11:18, lays down 7:12:24; IR light off
7:31:47am; D flies by from left to back of nest 7:38:30 and M softly squees;
per Tani-D misses trying to grab a branch in the back 7:38:28; D flies by on
right side 7:47:08 and comes in FD w/stick 7:47:24; D puts stick on M 7:47:31;
M gets up 7:47:49; M out LSD 7:48:33, D rolls-n-fluffs, snuggles down 7:49:07;
D rolls-n-fluffs 7:59:34; S/C#2 M in to LB 8:55:08 & D chirps, D out BD
8:55:46, M softly talks 8:56:10, M hops to nest 8:57:12, after roll-n-fluff M
snuggles down 8:59:25; D in LSD 9:01:30, cleans up nest a bit, hops to LB
9:03:10 & flies off 9:03:15. Per Jani - M watches something intently
10:09:29; M fluffs up and starts alert calls 10:10:28; M stands up alerting
10:10:30; IT (Intruder) lands on a LB 10:10:46; IT lands on BB 10:11:57; IT
flies off 10:12:14; 10:12:57; IT tries to land on/breaks off a LSB 10:12:58; M
alerts as there is a flyby under nest from right 10:14:10; M starts alerting
10:16:32; IT lands on left rail 10:16:40; M turns and chases it off 10:16:43; M
goes back to bole 10:22:47 and reassures egg 10:23:17; M settles over egg
10:24:12; M alerts 10:57:35; intensely at 11:01:22; AC view shows that,
intruder lands on left outer branch and D swoops in to chase it off; M watches
the action flying around nest and flyby behind nest 11:02:20 & 11:02:25; D
must be chasing IT; D in hot pursuit flyby behind nest 11:02:52. Ground Report
per BEP about Dad chasing intruder: "Holy crap Batman . That was not good.
They are still after each other going towards river. They actually hooked on
for a second thought they were going to ground. Not back yet. Were hot after
each other few minutes ago going to river. (A short time later…) Dad back on
perch all good." M gets up 11:34:08; M moves to pantry to nibble on the
nestover 11:36:12; D in BD w/stick landing over M close to egg 11:38:46; D
places stick on front rail then turns to give the egg attention 11:38:54; D
lays down as M still works on pelt 11:41:08; S/C#3 M to LB 11:58:09; D gets up
11:58:13; M out 11:58:20; D to LB/out 11:58:24; D in BD 11:58:37; D lays down
11:59:21; S/C#4 M in BD w/fluff 12:13:50; D to RB 12:15:19; D out 12:16:21; M
moves to bole and rolls egg 12:18:00; M lays down 12:18:58; M still on nest at
1:24pm. Per Sasha-M calls out to D 01:57:08>02:00:30, D lands on LB
02:00:31, D then jumps to RB 02:00:40, M gets up from bole 02:00:44, M to LB
02:01:31, D heads towards bole 02:01:37, M out LB 02:01:42, D rolls &
shimmies onto egg 02:02:20. Per Jani-D tracking something 3:20:14; D gets up
3:49:52; D out FD 3:50:03; flies around nest on AC then in BD alerting 3:50:35;
D out BD 3:52:15; D in BD 3:54:07; lays down 3:54:22; D gets up 3:55:08; D out
FD 3:55:11; S/C#6 M in BD 3:59:40; M moves to bole and rolls egg 4:00:30; M
lays down 4:02:18; M finds a nestover while lying there and tries to gulp it
down 4:19:48; gets up with it then down it goes 4:20:27; lays back down
4:22:29; M nibbles on pelt while lying down 5:09:53; M gets up w/pelt in beak
5:10:45; M takes it to the pantry to eat; coyote howls and M stares at area
behind nest 5:27:46; M slowly moves back to bole to roll-n-fluff 5:34:45
snuggles down 5:36:08; coyote howls again 5:38:42; D seen landing on tree in
background 5:45:40, he calls a greeting to M and she quietly answers; M softly
talks again 5:53:08; M snuggles on egg 6:28:37. M wing slaps 7:34:15 (probably
at Rocky) & stands up; snuggles back down 7:37:59pm.
